Cosmic Hors d’oeuvres (December Horoscopes)

photoMy monthly and weekly horoscopes are featured on the Cosmic Intelligence Agency’s website (where I am known as Agent 144!). The CIA’s mission is very clear and worth supporting:

“The Agency aims to bring together ideas from astrology, philosophy, science, psychology, politics, consciousness studies, mysticism and the arts as a way of sharing and promoting our ideas about our cosmic dimension and advancing information that can help to situate humanity in the apparent flow of time.  We are deeply concerned with the zeitgeist (the spirit of the times) and the constantly changing Anima Mundi (the soul of the World).

Our mission is to promote astrology, the age-old study of the correlation between the cosmic and the mundane and to create further interest in and understanding of this ancient art.  We aim to document the many facets of astrology, to celebrate its rich traditions and to show its numerous applications and adaptations.  We aim to demonstrate how viewing reality through the astrological lens adds richness, vitality, depth and profound beauty to existence; how observation of cyclic patterns and synchronous events brings a sense of profound order and justice to our lives and to the natural world that supports us; and how the changing skies continue to act as a mandala in their reflection of universal truths.”

And now for this month’s Cosmic Hors d’oeuvres

December Horoscopes

Mercury, moves into hard working Capricorn on the 3rd December and so communications take on a slightly more sombre tone. Take note that Mercury moves into retrograde motion on the 20th so anything you haven’t given its due justice may require a re-do. On the 8th, Venus moves into Aquarius bringing a time of socialising with friends and associates.

The time leading up to Christmas is ruled by Jupiter, the god of faith, hope and understanding so take time to admire that full moon in Sagittarius on the 14th. In a politically uncertain world, let us have the faith that if we stand shoulder to shoulder with everyone, then we as a collective can conquer the shadows of hopelessness and despair.

Wishing you joy and happiness during this season of goodwill and generosity and let’s try to be this happy all year long.

Alex Trenoweth, Agent 144

This is a great month for being honest about your progress towards your ultimate goals and wishes. Have you been spinning your tyres for a little too long or have you been avoiding facing up to the fact you could be doing so much better? Be as truthful as you can and make adjustments according. As the month progresses, you will be able to make very sound judgments on the best people to recruit to help and you’ll find the friends who can support you in the optimum way. By the time of the Full Moon mid-month, you should be able to see where you need further training and development. Overall, this is a great time to look at possible classes or workshops to fill in those gaps of knowledge. The New Moon at the end of the month is a great time for you to earnestly put all the things you have learned into practice: important people are watching what you do.

This is a great month for making long term financial plans as well as clearing out items you haven’t used for a very long time (be honest!). Clutter can create the illusion of abundance but it can also prevent better things from coming into your life. There are many charities and organisations that will benefit from your generous donations. From the 8th December, you should start to feel the benefits of all the changes you have been making recently. In particular, the worry and stress that have been showing on your face and posture should be dissolving, making you more attractive and pleasant to be around. As the month progresses, your confidence improves and you genuinely feel respect and admiration from others and by the time of the Full Moon mid-month, it should be clear as to why it has been so important to lighten your considerable load. The New Moon at the end of the month is a time to begin preparations for new goals and targets.

This is a great month for having an honest look at your relationships. Are the people you associate with working with you or against you; are they helping you do things that make you feel productive or are they making you feel as if you are doing all the work? As the month progresses, you will have to spend a great deal of time and investment either correcting these mistakes or building connections with important people. You don’t like being ruthless but sometimes it’s the only way you can move forward. By the time of the Full Moon mid-month, you should have a much clearer idea of who has the potential to help you out of your rut and get you back on a more edifying path. The New Moon at the end of the month is a great time for you to begin implementing all the knowledge and information you have been carefully collating. There is every potential that 2017 could be your most productive year ever if you can just assemble the team that works best for you and has your best interests at heart.

This is a great month for organising yourself and making strategies for further progress. It can be tremendously difficult for you to let go of the past or to embrace unfamiliar people and ideas. But yet, this is exactly what you have to do: think logically and not emotionally. By separating the useful from useless, you will begin to see how much more efficient and productive you can be. As the month progresses, you will find you will greatly benefit by not getting so caught up in the emotional turmoil of others. Some people, you will discover, positively enjoy creating chaos and then leaving the scene for others to deal with. The Full Moon in particular, already a stressful time for most people, is the perfect storm for relationship fallouts and you will be thanking your lucky stars indeed that you are not involved in any kind of aftermath. The New Moon at the end of the month is a good time to turn your attention to the people in your life you can help you get ahead.

This is a great month for doing the things that bring you the most emotional happiness. With your childlike sense of wonder, you charm and enchant people around you and you bring out the best in them. It is the season of giving and kindness and you will play a starring role in inspiring others. As the month progresses, your attention turns to doing something about the less fortunate in the world. If you are able, why not commit to doing some voluntary work for any number of the charitable organisations who need you? By the time of the Full Moon mid-month, you will start to see just how many people you have helped because, as enlightened people know, goodness begets goodness. The New Moon at the end of the month is a more sombre time to be sure but you will have lots to say about how we can work together to make the world a better place. Speak clearly and stand closer to the microphone.

This is a great month for focusing on your emotional well being. As someone who can “live in their head” you can often miss out on subtle yet vital clues others are giving out and therefore cause upset and confusion where it hasn’t been intended. Coping with past family issues could also be a possibility and in the run up to the holidays, it is important these are dealt with sensitively. As the month progresses, it may help if you can have time to withdraw away from the noise and crowds of festivities in order to have some simple quiet time. By the time of the Full Moon mid-month, it may all be a bit too much for you and you will be very glad you had the foresight to take a few precautions. Do remember if things get too intense, it is always OK to ask for a breather. The New Moon at the end of the month, is a time of putting everything back to the order you prefer.

This is a great month for speaking your mind and letting everyone know there’s more to you than meets the eye. Your powers of observation are second to none and let’s just say there are a few people who should be more than a little worried about what have noticed. As the month progresses and the storms you have been in the centre of blow over, you will be more than ready to spend time with the people who have demonstrated loyalty and honesty. By the time of the Full Moon mid-month, you’ll start to see why it was better to eliminate unworthy contenders from your life and to just focus on the folks who really matter. The New Moon at the end of the month is a time to take stock of the lessons you have learned from the past before moving on to more productive offers and projects. Do be ready to use a little elbow grease: work is about to get very lively indeed.

This is a great month for focusing on the things that you truly value. So many times you have had to skim over the things that bring you fulfilment simply because you worry that you may offend someone else. Well, stop worrying about what others think and find someone who shares your taste. The world is filled with clubs and organisations that cater for all preferences so take some time to find your tribe this month. As the month progresses, you’ll be feeling more and more comfortable that you have taken these steps and by the time of the Full Moon mid-month, you just may be able to profit from these new associations as well. The New Moon at the end of the month brings you a time of learning and perhaps even helping others benefit from your new found knowledge. If you play your cards right, you will be very happy indeed that you have taken the risk to express your true interests and the year ahead will seem far less daunting.

The festive season always coincides with your birthday month and what better way to show your inherent generosity than not grumbling that everyone gives you a two-for-one present (a birthday and a Christmas present combined)? Fortunately for everyone, you have a wonderful sense of humour, a sharing heart and an optimism that can’t be beaten. And this is a great month for you to reflect that divine optimism by leading by example. As the month progresses, you may feel that events conspire to take the shine off of your good mood and in times such as these, move on to a different situation or find a different social circle. Life is just too short to dwell on time wasters. By the time of the Full Moon mid-month, you will be able to clearly see who is worthy of your company. The New Moon at the end of the month is a time to focus on creating wealth and abundance for yourself (for a change).

This is a great month for bringing out the best in people—you just have a way of making every person you meet feel important and special. But there can be a difficult side to this: jealousy. You may find people who seem to be deliberately getting in your way for the sheer pleasure of being an obstruction and you may also find friends compete with each other for your attention. But there is a very positive side to all of this drama and that is everyone (including you) will find a way to cope and work together. As the month progresses, you may find the intensity can sometimes become a little overwhelming and at times like this, there is nothing wrong with excusing yourself from the festivities and finding some quiet space. By the time of the Full Moon mid-month, this need is likely to be at its strongest. The New Moon at the end of the month is a time for you to start thinking about how you can help others benefit from your knowledge.

This is a great month for gathering people together for a common cause, organising protests and turning the world on its ear. You are in no mood to be controlled, bossed around or to be playing trivial political games. You are seriously alive and kicking and looking to wake up everyone else to what you know to be the truth. As the month progresses, your desire to shake up the political order intensifies to the point people start to wondering if you are teaching a truth or just preaching a re-packaged old ideal. Be very aware that you are treading a delicate path and the tipping point is not very far away. This will become far clearer around the time of the Full Moon mid-month when your message reaches its crescendo. Be very certain of what you want to say. The New Moon at the end of the month indicates you have many eager pupils who will want to hear every word you say. That’s a lot of responsibility.

This is a great month for setting new goals and targets. It’s a month when you are going to be seen and you will want to ensure you are putting out the right message—yes, your reputation is on the line. Having said that, there is nothing to fear. You’ve been impressing the right people over many months and it’s time you got the recognition you deserve. As the month progresses, you may even hear the very satisfying sound of the cash register as a reward for all your hard work. By the time of the Full Moon mid-month, you should also feel the intrinsic rewards that come from a job well done with many people singing your praises (and isn’t it about time too?). The New Moon at the end of the month ushers in a new era of respectability and fulfilment. For you, 2016 certainly ends on a bang and if you play your cards right, 2017 looks pretty exceptional as well.
